1. Whole (mainly non-floured) grains: brown rice, millet, barley, quinoa, hemp, buckwheat, wheat berries, sorghum, teff, farro, amaranth, spelt, oats, and freekeh. These are all complete proteins: quinoa, hemp, buckwheat. Hence, no need for meat, fish or poultry if one is vegan.

2. Vegetables (various types): 20-25% of a meal.

3. Beans & sea veggies: 5-10% of a meal. Soy, lentils, mung, white, kidney and navy beans all contain leucine – a very important essential amino acid.

4. Soups: 5-10% of a meal.

5. Snacks: choose whole fruits, seeds, nuts or veggies.

6. Beverages: water and non-caffeinated products. Avoid sugar and electrolyte drinks.

Grand Opening Community Celebration Announced for the WellCome OM Integral Healing and Education Center

The WellCome OM Center, “The Hidden Jewel of Hernando” will celebrate a grand opening on October 5, 2019, from 9 am–5 pm. This event is for all to experience their newly built campus.

The staff at WellCome OM invite you to come and experience the atmosphere of “om” in all the creativity that happens among those who let their energies shine. True skill and talent make restorative and rejuvenating practices fully vibrant. Connect yourself with medical doctors, therapists and other educators trained in healing arts who provide their services at OM. Allow your senses to be nourished through a myriad of techniques, artistry, yoga, dance, organic foods and gardens, personal care products, entertainment and much more.

Tours, demonstrations, introduction to the Salt Room Experience and special pricing for services will be offered to those attending. Light refreshments will be available during the day in the Conscious Kitchen where educational cooking classes are also held.
