Musings on Body Divine

Your body is a divine gift that is nothing short of miraculous.

When did you last think of yourself as such? If you have, you are expressing gratitude to the majesty of creation — the master architect/engineer, mother, father…universal power
spends time sensing all of your being without seeing yourself as made of parts and pieces like a car or other machine. Can you do this? If you can, the wholeness of life is respected.

Step outside of your thoughts and just be present. Imagine you had no mirror, reflecting surface, photo, or artist to paint or draw you. Can you do this? You are not just a talking head, face, or body.

Touch, move, look, inhale, exhale, listen, chew, eat, and excrete with total respect and honor for all that the body is able and ready to do. Your own discipline and direction will make things work best.

Let’s go…

Stroke your skin and admire its construction. It is not merely an envelope to cover your internal organs. It has living, breathing cells that absorb, protect, transform, create, secrete, excrete, feel, and die, only to be replaced continuously. Do not underestimate the power of this magnificent organ—the largest in the body—that is a gateway and a defender of your person!

Move your body! Every muscle, including your face, should be stimulated. Stretch and extend, turn, twist, shimmy, shake, march, run, dance, play, and be free to allow your body to express itself. You will feel best when you move more often. Let the child in you be happy, and simultaneously, you will condition your heart and muscles! What a deal!

Your eyes absorb the environment in multiple ways and add dimensions and color. Without them, what would you see? Imagine or ask one who was not given sight from birth and listen to what that person sees.

Inhale the air around you. Is it fresh and life-giving? Ensure this. The nose is not to be abused. Take in only good air and scents that nourish the brain, which then delivers wonders to every cell in every organ, including the skin!

Can you hear? The ears-so carefully sculpted to the sides of your head allow for innumerable sounds. What would life be like without sound? Gladly, we have technology to help! So, give thanks to those interestingly shaped apparati and defend them against harsh or violently loud noises!

Chew to save your life! Protect your teeth using whole, fresh food and clean water. Wash your mouth with pure substances and zero fluoride, artificial substances, or other noxious chemicals to protect your brain and body. The mouth is the portal for nourishment and breath, and you are the keeper of the gate—keep the gate clean and free of illegal entrants!

Digestion is for life and the best can only happen when you know that the food is the best it can be — simple, whole, clean, untainted, not artificial, and made with loving thoughts, hands, and cookware! Have you thought about your digestive tract and all it has to process for you to feel alive and well? Better get thinking!

And in the end — excretion of undigested food must be the best you can make it. Pay attention to your toilet end products; if that material looks and smells very wrong, you need to change how you eat and live.

There is help and yours truly can be there for you and your body divine. 😊

Self Love…Every Day

The health of the self can only manifest when the self is valued and the energies of the past are reconciled.

Translation?

  1. Look at yourself with adoration, admiration, and gratitude for all that you are and,
  2. Make peace with any past issues, regrets, sorrows, and other elements of psychological or physical pain.

There is no more important time than now to create the best for yourself; self-love and honor make this a reality. You can begin with the following steps that can become part of your daily routine:

  • After a brisk or invigorating AM or PM walk, take a warm shower (or bath) and let the water envelop your skin.
  • Massage your scalp, face, torso, and limbs and recite ‘I am full of love, and I love myself for all that I am’; repeat for as many times as you like; complete your bathing with a towel that is preferably scented with lemongrass or sandalwood essential oil (lavender can be used for pre-bed bathing); inhale the gentle fragrance and let this linger in your nostrils.
  • Dress in comfortable, preferably natural, fibers for the start (or the end) of the day, if you are heading to sleep.
  • Smile all the way through as you think of someone or something that brightened your day; the dog counts!
  • Stay in that ‘I love myself’ mode as you get ready for wherever you are headed.

The start or completion of one’s day should be done with good intentions, a positive feeling, and more thoughts or verbalized words of affirmation such as ‘It will be a great day, and I will do my best for my health’ or ‘I will sleep in restful peace so my brain and body will refresh, restore and rejuvenate.’

Take steps to help you understand why and how the past must be handled with care and love. This is all possible with guidance and planning through a health provider/life coach/therapist/healer who you can trust and open up with as you seek self-love and appreciation. It is all possible and can be done. You just set your intention and voila!

Do know that conscious choices will validate your self-loving actions. For instance, preparing your meals will be one of the most important plans to indicate how much you truly care for your life and all you must accomplish. Your food is the fuel for living and, therefore, it needs to be life-giving and not life-taking, literally! All beverages are best pure and free of alcohol and/or artificial sweeteners of any kind! A supplement to enhance one’s health should follow a good manufacturing process (GMP on labels) and be of high quality. Exercise without excuse and make it worth every step of the way! Breathe well and with fulfillment.

Establish good social contacts and communication and release/relinquish all that would cause significant mind/body disturbances. This can make a massive difference to your health. Do not fear letting go. Be respectful to yourself for what you could do and don’t fault yourself if someone you know or spent time with can no longer communicate with you. All will work out for everyone who has shared time with you as you keep on your journey to optimized health.

You owe it to you to make the best choices now and every day.

Self-love is a gift that is precious and priceless to practice every day!
